Worms Eat My Garbage: Vermicomposting Workshop

Turn your kitchen scraps into nutrient-rich compost with the help of some very hardworking worms! Join us for this engaging, hands-on vermicomposting workshop led by Elizabeth, a certified Master Composter who has been introducing people of all ages to vermiculture and vermicomposting since 1997.
This comprehensive workshop includes an informative lecture covering the fundamentals of vermicomposting, followed by a guided, hands-on worm bin assembly. Elizabeth will wrap up the session with an interactive Q&A to ensure you feel confident and ready to get started.
Each registered participant will take home a complete 27-gallon worm bin system, including:
Bedding material
Worm blanket
Grit
One pound of Eisenia fetida (red wriggler) composting worms
Written care and maintenance instructions
Follow-up support to help ensure your vermicomposting success
Whether you’re new to composting or looking to expand your sustainability practices, this workshop will give you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to compost at home year-round.
