Get kids growing, learning, and having fun outdoors! This hands-on gardening class introduces youth to the basics of growing their own food, guided by local U of MN Extension Master Gardeners. Participants will learn how to plan, plant, care for, and harvest a garden, then enjoy the rewards of what they grow. Each session includes plenty of time to dig in and work in their own garden plot (with a little weeding along the way!).
This is a structured class experience designed for learning and exploration, not a community garden, so participants will have access to their garden plots during scheduled class times with guidance from instructors.
Class Details:
Registration includes use of a 3 ft x 16 ft garden plot, seeds, plants, instructional materials, and a fun, engaging environment for young gardeners.
Additional Information:
Give your child the chance to connect with nature, build new skills, and discover the joy of growing their own food!
