Event Description

Grow your own fresh, healthy food this season! Join local U of MN Extension Master Gardeners for a hands-on gardening class designed to teach you everything you need to know, from planning and planting to harvesting and enjoying what you grow. Whether you’re brand new or looking to build confidence, you’ll receive guided instruction along with time to work in your own garden plot (yes, a little weeding included!).

This is a structured class, not a community garden, so you’ll have access to your plot and expert support during scheduled class times.

Class Details:

  • Location: Northland Arboretum
  • Who: Adults and youth ages 16+
  • Schedule: Wednesdays, 5:30–7:00 PM | May 27–September 23
  • Cost: $50

Your registration includes a 3 ft x 16 ft garden plot, seeds, plants, instructional materials, and a fun, supportive learning environment.

Additional Information:

  • Space is limited; payment is due at registration and is non-refundable
  • First-time participants receive priority—early registration is strongly encouraged
  • Returning students may join the waitlist by emailing cwcmg@umn.edu
