Event Description

Calico Pennant, Dot-tailed Whiteface, Horned Clubtail, Band-winged Meadowhawk…their names may sound exotic, but all of these species fly the wetlands and trails of Northland Arboretum. Join us as we explore species identification, habitat, metamorphoses, and bio-diversity.

Leaders: LeAnn and Ron Plinske, avid dragonfly enthusiasts, are also Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteers and Northland Arboretum members and volunteers.

Presentation with techniques, tips, and tools to familiarize you with these fascinating creatures; then we will take our nets outside to see (and catch) species that are present around the Arb’s wetlands. Class designed for adults and youth ages 10-16 when accompanied by an adult.

Space is limited, Class is nonrefundable.
